Time for an open thread, all topics welcome, including TV (as a commenter requested earlier.) Since I've only been watching Senor de Los Cielos this summer, I'm not going to be much help leading that discussion.
Twitter is still zapping the ISIS province accounts, preventing everyone from monitoring their actions. These are the symbols to look for when they come back up, but watch out for imposter accounts.

It's a jail day for me, which means an open thread for you. All topics welcome, but please watch your tone and avoid name-calling and insults to other commenters as well as posting comments intended soley to bait others whose views you disagree with. Our last thread had several such comments, it's cleaned now and a few people are in time out.

I've been so busy following ISIS I forgot to put up a new open thread. I know there are other things going on the world, so here's a place to discuss them. All topics welcome.

I had no idea my week would turn out so busy at work. The only things I'll be reading until Thursday night are legal briefs. Maybe I'll also take a few peeks at ISIS supporter Twitter feeds.
I think ISIS warrants its own set of music tunes. I bet it hates American music. Too bad. I'm still going to come up with songs for their dual personality that alternates between gruesome acts of violence and charitable missions. The first one I chose is the Rolling Stones, "Paint it Black":

Has anyone else noticed that the Bing translator is gone from Twitter? I can no longer read the Arabic posts, which is really a drawback when writing about ISIS. I hope lots of people are telling Twitter to bring it back.
I'm determined to get out of the house today, so here's an open thread, all topics welcome.

They'll try to fix it tomorrow, but as of now, the border control bill has been a total debacle for Republican House leadership today.
[Republican Sen. Ted] Cruz, the hard-line Texas Republican, has been working behind the scenes to stir up conservative opposition to a House GOP plan to approve $659 million to secure the border and handle the flow of 57,000 migrant youths.
And it worked. Amid disarray, House GOP leaders canceled Thursday's vote after it was clear they did not have the votes.
Politico has more. [More...]

For Stephanie Grisham, the press secretary for Arizona Attorney General Tom Home , who said in an email that the claims being made by the media witnesses and defense attorneys about the botched execution of Joseph Wood are not accurate.
"He went to sleep, and looked to be snoring. ...I was surprised by how peaceful it was. There was absolutely no snorting or gasping for air."

As expected following the media's publication of multiple unnamed law enforcement leaks concerning Stephen Silva, (background here) Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's lawyers have renewed their motion to determine the source of law enforcement leaks. I'm glad to see they complained about the leak I thought was the most egregious -- you can read the leak here. As I wrote:
....leaks by law enforcement that this is bad for Jahar because it shows he was more than an errand boy are just speculation. And incredibly out of line for law enforcement, who have no business opining to the media on the specifics and strength of any defendant's defense.
The defense wants to know what steps the Government took after the June hearing at which the judge expressed his concern about leaks to avoid future ones.
Israel and Hamas have agreed to a 12 hour cease-fire tomorrow.
I wonder what ISIS has been up to the past 2 days. I'll write about it later if there's anything new.
